Kamshilova O., Kapotova N., Rasumova V. Sentence Length and Structure Analysis in a Special Corpus
The talk deals with a linguistic interpretation of two special comparable corpora data. Sentence length and structure are considered to mark the differences in the syntactic structure of Standard English and its global varieties (Euro English and Korean English). Sentence length depends on how complex the structures and the verbal forms are, which are characterized by structural and quantitative clause analysis data (with ENGCG parser applied) and sentence complexity ratio (Kucera H).
